# 6.2.5.1 Create Subtask in a Task

Creating a subtask under a task is easy & straightforward. Each subtask can have its name, description, deadline, and assigned team member. 

### Steps to Use:

* Select a **task**. The **task modal page** opens.
* Click the **+ button** at the right of **Subtask.**  
* A **task modal** will open.
* Provide subtask a name, start date, due date, and story point, and add assignee & description (if necessary). 
* Click the **Create Subtask** button.
* The subtask will be created.
